TreesforLife.co.nz, a project funded by Tuaropaki Trust, is a long term sustainability project to re-establish sub tropical rainforest on Maori-owned land in the Central North Island.

The site needed to reflect the vibrancy of Pāpātūānuku and Tane-mahuta. The designs used are taken from the local marae, reflecting and acknowledging those who hold mana whenua over these lands.
